Pterosaur

Well, there aren’t many photos of this… I made it a couple of years ago now (hence all the greying out of my dorm room in the background!). Its a pterosaur – made for a friend Jon who I used to study palaeontology with.

It is a tiny mobile, the whole figure is much smaller than my hand, you can just about see the hanging string coming from the crest at the top of its head.

The wings are made from pretty much my favourite fabric, it keeps appearring through all of the things I’ve made for several years (not sure how as I only ever had about 1 square foot of it!). The wing posture is held by a wire frame, and also the little finger claws in the middle of the wing.

There are tiny buttons for eyes, and if you look closely you can see tiny sharp teeth, perfect for eating really really tiny fish ;)
